Life is full of moments that demand a choice—moments where waiting, wishing, or planning isn’t enough. Some things require action, and action calls for priorities.
As musicians and guitarists, this principle shows up in our daily practice. It’s easy to dream about becoming a skilled player, imagining yourself performing your favorite songs or confidently strumming at a gathering. But dreams without action remain just that in—dreams.
Action Over Intention
You can own the best guitar, have the most detailed practice schedule, and watch countless tutorials, but unless you pick up the guitar and play, progress won’t happen. Growth comes when you move beyond intention and take consistent steps.
Priorities Matter
Action without priorities can lead to wasted energy. It’s not about playing randomly or practicing only what feels easy—it’s about focusing on what moves you forward. Want to improve your chords? Dedicate time to transitions. Struggling with rhythm? Make strumming exercises your top priority.
When you align action with priorities, results come faster, and music becomes more rewarding.
Music as a Life Lesson
This lesson applies beyond the fretboard. Just as in music, life rewards those who take action and focus on what matters most. If you want change, if you want progress, you’ve got to get up, act, and set your priorities straight.
🎶 Remember: The music in you won’t play itself—you’ve got to bring it to life.
